A series of colourful geometric works by highly regarded illustrative Melbourne based artist Ness Flett have activated the Aviation Road shopping precinct.
Ness Flett is a renowned Australian illustrative artist who specialises in mural design. Her work can be found on walls and in galleries across Victoria. Ness has completed many murals for local councils in Darebin, Moreland, Banyule and Coburg and has worked nationally with the City of Hobart.
The Aviation Road, Laverton Mural Project is part of Hobsons Bay City Council’s Street Art Program. The project was funded by the Department of Justice ‘s Graffiti Prevention Program.
As a part of the this project Mesh Mash worked with Ness Flett to create a two colour print design using key elements from the mural. These promotional tote bags were given away to traders on Aviation road to share with customers. Mesh Mash produced 150 Tote bags for the launch in December 2020.
